The desire to
be counted amongst the best, if not the best, in the
industry, is reflected in the policy of the management
of plowing back a certain percentage of the profits
towards the continuous upgradation and modernisation of
the plant, by the installation of a grid of stainless
pipelines, rinsing machines, rotary filling machines,
automatic labeling machines, stainless steel
electro-mechanical blending tanks, stainless steel
storage tanks, five columnar copper tower distillation
system, a new energy saving copper potstill etc.. The
laboratory to has been modernized with top of the line
equipment like electronic / digital pH meters,
conductivity meter, digital spectrophotometer, turbidity
meter and a Computerized Liquid-gas Chromatograph
machine for an accurate analysis, of the various raw
materials used and of the products manufactured.
The founding
fathers of the plant have ensured that the natural slope
/ gradient of the land is utilised to the optimum to
conserve energy for transfer of materials. The once
barren hillside, of sixteen acres, allotted to the
company forty-eight years ago, is now lush green with
numerous plants, shrubs and trees that have been planted
and carefully nurtured over the years. A very modern
effluent treatment plant ensures that no effluents
escape from the plant and the resultant water produced
at this plant is used for maintaining the lush greenery
around the distillery. Although the snow fed streams of
the Himalayas are a constant source of water, the
management in its great regards for nature, has
installed four large capacity water cooling towers to
ensure that the water, used for cooling the distillation
plant, is recycled. That is commitment to being a very
environment friendly organization, especially when one
takes into consideration the fact that the nearest city
is a good two hundred kilometres away.
However, the rich old tradition of maturation of Liquors, in
wooden vats, continues till date. The Company can proudly state
that vis-à-vis the sales turnover; the maturation capacity is
by far, the highest in India.
